The production of a swimsuit or other garment comprises calculation of the weft (2) and warp (3) forces in an elastic woven incorporating at least ne elastic yarn. Also claimed is the product of the process. The product has the resultant (4) of the calculation differing between 45 and 55 degrees relative to the weft and is cut to a pattern. The resultant of the calculation virtually coincides with the vertical axis of the garment.
