Concrete protection wall

A concrete lane divider for roads has a tapering profile with a height of 1000 cm and a ratio of base width to height of about 0.7. The base of the divider sits on the road via a plastic sheet (14). The tapering profile runs into an upper wall profile and can be fitted with internal steel reinforcing. The design provides a saving of 70 tonnes per km in concrete. An additional, similar saving can be achieved by a pipe shaped void through the divider, positioned above the base taper.
