LACTIC ACID BACTERIUM FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF FOWL TYPHOID AND METHOD FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF FOWL TYPHOID USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A lactic acid bacterium and a method for prevention and treatment of fowl typhoid using the same microorganism are provided. The microorganism has improved antimicrobial activity to bacteria causing fowl typhoid. CONSTITUTION: The lactic acid bacterium Lactobacillus para casei KLB58(KCTC 10373BP) has antimicrobial activity to bacteria causing fowl typhoid such as Salmonella gallinarum and Salmonella enteritidis, wherein Lactobacillus para casei KLB58 (KCTC 10373BP) is isolated from Koreans. The method for prevention and treatment of fowl typhoid comprises adding Lactobacillus para casei KLB58 (KCTC 10373BP), the cultured medium thereof, or an extract of Lactobacillus para casei KLB58 (KCTC 10373BP) into the fodder or drink water for fowls, and feeding the fodder or drink water to fowls.
