PURPOSE: A data coding method of an access virtual private network is provided to allow an access VPN(Virtual Private Network) subscriber to stably transmit and receive data by adding an item for performing a data coding process to an LCP(Link Control Protocol) negotiation conditions. CONSTITUTION: An establishment step is performed by being upped from a dead step according to a user access attempt signal. An LCP negotiation with respect to a mutual authentication method, a maximum number of receiving bytes, data compression is made(S200), and if both ends negotiate that mutual authentication and data coding are necessary according to LCP negotiation conditions, the authentication is performed by a PAP/CHAP(Password Authentication Protocol/Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol)(300). When the authentication is normally performed, encryption is performed for coding data(S350). With data coded, networking is performed(S400) to negotiate information for layer 3 communication and data is transmitted and received.
