FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to conveyors designed for transportation of unit loads. Proposed multistrand conveyor consists of endless flexible system closed on drive and tension sprockets and mechanically coupled with drive and made up of parallel leaf chains. Chains of conveyor in idle run in zone of running off from drive sprockets are freely hanging under gravity. Hanging section of chain of idle run is enclosed by solid pan from below to catch chains in case of breaking. Bucket-type pockets are hinge-mounted under drive sprockets on free edge of pan to accommodate in each packet section of chain thrown off drive sprocket after breaking. Pockets are installed for turning to side of drive sprockets and engaging with stop at turning to opposite side. ^ EFFECT: reduced labor input and time taken for reconditioning of conveyor in case of breakage of conveyor chain. ^ 4 dwg |
