PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion heater superior in maintenance and detecting responsiveness to a combustion condition. SOLUTION: The combustion heater comprises a combustor 100 and a heat exchanger 200. The combustion condition is controlled in accordance with a detection result obtained by a detecting means 150 for detecting the fuel ignited or extinguished condition of the combustor 100. The heat exchanger 200 makes heat exchange between combustion gas during combustion and external fluid. The detecting means 150 is arranged in a combustion chamber 161 formed in the combustor 100. It is a high temperature sensor 150 which can sense a flame temperature during combustion for detecting the ignited or extinguished condition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
