PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission device for a vehicle securely changing gears to each position of an automatic transmission even when rattling is generated in a transmission means to transmit operation force inputted to an operation inputting device to a power assisting device. SOLUTION: This automatic transmission device for a vehicle is provided with the operation inputting device 2 having a selection lever 7, the power assisting device 3 to add assisting force to the operation force inputted to the operation inputting device 2 to be outputted to the automatic transmission 1, a first cable 4 to transmit the operation force to the power assisting device 3, and a second cable 5 to transmit output of the power assisting device 3 to the automatic transmission 1. A torque sensor 29 to detect the operation force and a position detecting means to detect a rotation position of an output shaft 20 to output the operation force added by the assisting force to the automatic transmission 1 are provided on the power assisting device 3. A control part 37 is provided to stop the output shaft at a stop position for the output shaft corresponding to each range position of the automatic transmission 1 as preliminarily set.
