The pressure measuring system (1) has a chamber (2) divided into two (4,5) by a central membrane (3). The membrane carries a pressure sensor (6) connected to a computer (7). The two chambers are separated from a reference pressure chamber (11) and a measuring chamber (14) by corrugated membranes (9,10). An ultrasonic generator (16) sends ultrasonic waves (18) into the first chamber to form cavitation bubbles and promote evaporation and removal of dissolved gases and water.
