The invention relates to a control device such as is used, in particular, for illumination systems. In this arrangement, a control device (S) is used for generating a variable output signal (UA) in dependence on the operating command of at least one control element (B1 to Bn) which is connected to the input of the control device (S) via a control line (SL). No transmitter/receiver device is provided. To make it possible to connect a number of control elements (B1 to Bn), one of which also has a rotary knob, to one control line (SL) for inputting a setting command, it is provided that all control elements (B1 to Bn) are equipped with a transducer (W) which converts the respective setting command into electrical pulses depending on the direction of setting. The control device (S) detects these direction-dependent pulses and, after appropriate analysis, provides a rising or falling output signal (UA) corresponding to the respective direction of setting. <IMAGE> |
