PURPOSE: A brake control device is provided to prevent lock of one of front wheels or rear wheels in operating engine braking torque by distributing braking torque evenly into front and rear wheels. CONSTITUTION: A brake control device is composed of an engine braking torque calculation section for calculating engine braking torque of an engine(2) driving a first wheel, and a generator braking torque control section electrically braking a second wheel for ideal distribution of braking torque into the first wheel and the second wheel based on the calculated engine braking torque by the engine braking torque calculation section in applying engine braking torque from the engine to the first wheel and controlling electric braking torque of a generator(7). The engine drives the generator in lowering the engine braking torque reduction, and the generator compensates operation of the engine to reduce engine braking torque. |
