PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To coat the three-dimensional face of a molded article under heating and reduced pressure conditions by using a coating material sheet for the three-dimensional face of the molded article. SOLUTION: The three-dimensional face of the molded article is coated by positioning the coating material sheet on the three-dimensional face in such a way that the coating material layer of the sheet faces the surface of the article, sealing a space formed between the sheet and the article, heating and softening the sheet, reducing pressure in the space to stick the sheet on the three-dimensional face, and then peeling off the base sheet layer of the coating material sheet.
