<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single opening fork bicycle with a shock absorber not impairing mechanical strength of a vehicle body by eliminating a slot with a simple maintenance. <P>SOLUTION: The single opening fork bicycle has a head tube 2 connected to a form 3 of single opening arm structure through a bracket device 4. In the head tube, an upper pipe member is fastened to a lower pipe member having a small diameter. In the fork 3, an upper fork member is inserted to a lower fork member having a large diameter. The bracket device comprises first and second bracket members 42, 41 comprising two projection seats arranged in parallel. The upper pipe member is provided at one end of the first bracket member and the upper fork member is provided at the other end of the first bracket member. The lower pipe member is provided at one end of the second bracket member 41 and the lower fork member is provided at the other end of the second bracket member.
