PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal oscillator and an electronic apparatus using the same which has a small size, a low height, a low cost and a low possibility of the damage due to falling shocks, etc. SOLUTION: The oscillator has a crystal vibrator 2 having a package with first connection electrodes 11 on its flat bottom surface, a flat plate-like circuit board 1 having circuit components mounted on one main surface, and second connection electrodes 8 corresponding to the first connection electrodes one to one. The crystal vibrator 2 is mechanically and electrically supported through solder 3 between the first and second connection electrodes 11, 8, with leaving a gap between the tops of the circuit components and the bottom of the vibrator 2. The quantity of solder balls 3 is so set that the solder 3 is higher than the height of the highest circuit component while the surface tension of the solder 3 in a melt state is balanced with the weight of the crystal vibrator 2 exerted on the solder 3 in the relation of the area of the first connection electrode 11 to the area of the second connection electrode 8.
