PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elongate service life of a centrifugal pump, at low cost and with simple structure. SOLUTION: An impeller 3 in which a first magnet 1 is embedded faces a second magnet disposed to a motor drive shaft 4 through a partition wall 5, so that power of rotation of a motor M is transmitted to the impeller 3 by electromagnetic coupling. The impeller 3 is supported through a pair of thrust bearing bodies 8, 8 constituted by holding a plurality of small spheres in retainer members. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
