PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sound-insulating properties between opposed side faces between adjacent partition panels. SOLUTION: In the movable partition device in which a plurality of partition panels directed in the horizontal direction are installed movably along a rail on the rail disposed to a ceiling for a room or near the ceiling and directed in the horizontal direction and the room is partitioned by mutually abutting the opposed side faces of the adjacent partition panels P2 and P3, each side frame member 11 and 12 divided into the plural in the longitudinal direction is connected continuously through cushioning materials 15 in a side frame 8 constituting the opposed side faces, and formed integrally.
