DEFROSTING DEVICE AND DEFROSTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defrosting device and a defrosting method with which frost adhering on the surface of a package for a frozen commodity is efficiently taken away prior to labelling work. SOLUTION: The defrosting method comprises the following process: melting frost adhering (frozen) to (on) the surface of the package for the frozen commodity with heat supplied from a heater 2 at a stage before sticking a price card or a label to the surface of the package so as to form water droplets; blowing air jetted out of a draining nozzle 3 to the water droplets so as to blow off the water droplets from the surface of the package to eliminate the frost thereon. The method does not require any defrosting process conventionally carried out with manual operations, and thereby work for sticking price cards or labels can be efficiently performed in a subsequent process.
