PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element with high reliability, high luminous efficiency, and new structure. SOLUTION: A first layer containing an organic luminescent material radiating light by the recombination of an electron and a hole and an organic hole transport layer, and in which a mixing ratio of the organic luminescent material is gradually increased in accordance with becoming more distant from an anode is formed on the anode. A second layer containing an organic electron transport layer is formed on the first layer. A cathode made of a conductive material is formed on the second layer. The hole mobility of the hole transport material is made larger than that of the electron transport material, and the electron mobility of the electron transport material is made larger than that of the hole transport material.
