PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rail for a slide door of a vehicle, which can prevent damage to a cable by preventing a mounting member for the rail from protruding and coming into contact with the cable, even if the cable for opening/closing the slide door comes into contact with or gets close to a mounting surface of the rail. SOLUTION: This rail 3 for the slide door, having an inside space 3e into which a roller unit 7 for the movement of the slide door 2 and the cable 8 are inserted for movement, is mounted on a vehicle body panel 10 via a mounting wall 3a. The mounting wall 3a comprises a recess 3i which recedes to the side of the panel 10, the mounting surface 3j which is formed on the side of the panel 10 of the recess 3i, and a mounting hole 3f which is formed in the mounting surface 3j. The rail 3 is formed in such a manner that the mounting member 9 to be housed in the recess 3i is inserted into the mounting hole 3f so that the mounting wall 3a can be mounted on the panel 10.
