PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a container for an aromatic agent in which a problem that the aromatic agent tends to evaporate immediately because a condition that a sliding overlay is pulled up or down cannot be checked from the outside and therefore standing in a shedding condition is carried out is solved and the shedding condition can be immediately seen. SOLUTION: In the container for the aromatic agent, a closure slides up and down by meshing of a gear and a rack to open and close a fragrance wick. Namely, in this container for the aromatic agent, by lowering a rack gear 30, a gear 40 is rotated, and the rack gear 20 with a cap is raised, and the cap 21 exposes the blocked fragrance wick 4.
