PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the occurrence of the damage possibly suffered by the players when the tokens being counted are mixed with those from others than own parlor. SOLUTION: The medal counting machine is provided with a token counting means 25 which counts the tokens received for counting, a total number of tokens output means 9 for outputting the number of tokens counted, an identifying information reading means 25 which reads the identifying information from the respective memory parts 34 of the tokens, a collation means 13 which checks to see whether the identifying information of the tokens read is that indicating the regular medals or not, separation means 26 and 29 for separating the regular tokens from the irregular tokens based on the results of the collation and irregular token collection means 31 and 20 for collecting the irregular tokens separated.
