Preparing molded articles from gypsum, useful in manufacture of cement, where the gypsum is derived from gas desulfurization units and is mixed with coal fly ash before compaction

Method for preparing molded articles (A) from REA-gypsum (I; i.e. prepared during desulfurization of combustion gases from coal-fired power stations), particularly for use in the cement industry, comprises dewatering (I); mixing with dry coal fly ash (II) and compacting the mixture. An independent claim is also included for (A), particularly for use in the cement industry, that contain (I) and (II).
