<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transmit by a UWB system. <P>SOLUTION: First and second base band waveforms with a specified phase difference between them are generated in the period of the integer multiple of a carrier, the first base band waveform is multiplied by the carrier and a first transmission data series to obtain a first transmission waveform, the second base band waveform is multiplied by a phase shift carrier and a second transmission data series to obtain a second transmission waveform, the first and second transmission waveforms are mixed to obtain a transmission signal, and the transmission signal is transmitted so as to transmit a UWB signal as aπ/2 shift BPSK signal.
