PURPOSE: A mobile electronic apparatus having an image medium reproducing function and a reproducing method therefor are provided to operate as the general mobile electronic apparatus when being separated from a stationary portion, and to reproduce a moving image storage medium when being coupled with the stationary portion, thereby multiplexing functions of the mobile electronic apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A body portion(100) is detachably installed from a stationary portion(200), and reproduces an A/V signal inputted from the stationary portion(200) based on a mobile control signal when being coupled with the stationary portion(200). The body portion(100) outputs a stationary portion control signal for controlling operations of the stationary portion(200) to the stationary portion(200), and operates as an independent mobile electronic apparatus when being separated from the stationary portion(200). The stationary portion(200) reproduces the A/V signal from an A/V storage medium based on the stationary portion control signal when being coupled with the body portion(100). The stationary portion(200) outputs the mobile control signal to the body portion(100).
