PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the comfortable air conditioning operation by reducing the liquid refrigerant accumulated in an outdoor heat exchanger, an indoor heat exchanger and a liquid pipe in the cooling operation or heating operation. SOLUTION: One or both of the heat exchangers 12a, 12b are selected in accordance with the requesting ability of an indoor unit 2 performing the cooling operation or heating operation to perform the operation in a state of increasing and decreasing the air volume of an outdoor air blower 31 in accordance with the requesting ability. As an opening of outdoor expansion valves 13a, 13b of the heat exchanging parts 12a, 12b selectively used in the cooling operation is not narrowed, the liquid refrigerant accumulated in the heat exchanging parts 12a, 12b and the liquid pipe 6 can be reduced, and the liquid refrigerant accumulated in the indoor heat exchanger 20 and the liquid pipe 6 of the indoor unit 2 performing the heating operation is reduced in the heating operation, whereby the comfortable cooling operation and heating operation can be performed, and concerns that the liquid refrigerant accumulated in the heat exchanging parts 12a, 12b may return to a compressor 11 in switching the heat exchanging parts 12a, 12b can be reduced.
