PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type menstrual napkin that can further suppress a leakage. SOLUTION: This underpants type menstrual napkin 50 is constituted by arranging elastic rear leg members 36a and 36b roughly along a pair of left and right leg openings 30a and 30b from the rear body 13 of the napkin 50 to the front body 10 of the napkin 50 and, at the same time, elastic front leg members 34a and 34b in the front body 10. In addition, the position of the narrowest part 43, in which the width between the leg openings 30a and 30b becomes the minimum, of the napkin 50 is selected so that the narrowest part 43 may be positioned between the longitudinal center line L1 of the napkin 50 and a virtual line Lb drawn in parallel with the center line L1 through the end sections of the rear leg members 36a and 36b on the front body 10 side and another virtual line Lf drawn in parallel with the center line L1 through the end sections of the front leg sections 34a and 34b on the rear body 13 side when the napkin 50 is held in an expanded and tensioned state.
