PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the time and effort of reproducing operation, and to enable a user to comfortably view a video-recorded program, by controlling the reproduction of the video-recorded program on the basis of the instantaneous highest audience rating of a broadcast program. SOLUTION: This program viewing terminal comprises a management server 4, a communication server 5 and an operation section 6. The server 4 transfers the information about a program reserved for video-recording from a video recorder 3 to the server 5, and transfers to the video recorder 3 via the server 5 the viewing information about the same program as the program reserved for video-recording from the terminal of a connection destination to be connected via a communication line network 10. The server 5 obtains the viewing information from the terminal of connection destination on the basis of the information about the program reserved for video-recording transferred from the server 4, records and updates the information about the program reserved for video-recording and the viewing information, and perform setting of reproducing control of the video recorder 3. The section 6 totals the viewing information reserved for video recording which has been recorded and updated by the server 5, and calculates the instantaneous highest audience rating of the program reserved for video recording. With this configuration, the reproduction of the video-recorded program of the video recorder 3 is controlled on the basis of the instantaneous highest viewing information.
