PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of signal communication by using a plurality of mobile nodes mounted on a vehicle. SOLUTION: For a mobile communication system, a vehicle where a plurality of mobile nodes can be mounted is provided with a vehicle proxy location register (VPLR). The VPLR transmits a router advertisement message including information (PLR option) indicating that a proxy location registration is possible. A mobile node mounted on the vehicle receives the router advertisement message and sends a proxy location registration request including information requesting proxy location registration to the VPLR instead of direct location registration to a server which registers a location so that the mobile node communicates with other communication nodes. Consequently, the mobile node mounted on the vehicle is able to communicate with other mobile nodes through the VPLR. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
