MOUNTING SADDLE AND MOUNTING MECHANISM FOR EXCAVATING TOOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle and a mounting mechanism for an excavating tool allowing the interchange of a roller cutter and a shield cutter and firm attachment of both cutters. SOLUTION: This mounting saddle for the excavating tool 4 capable of mounting the excavating tools 4 of different kinds inserted from an opening part opened to the inside of an excavating machine in the state of being mounted to the tip face of a rotary disk arranged at the tip of the excavating machine, is provided with a pair of wall parts 2 for fixing the excavating tools 4. The inner side faces of fixing recessed parts provided at the opposed wall surfaces of the wall parts 2 are opened backward in the inserting direction of the excavating tools 4, and the inner side face has a pair of tapered surfaces 11 gradually enlarged in mutual space frontward in the inserting direction from the opening part.
