The connecting rod (2) for the coupling of mobile units to cable displacement units (5) has the rotational point (1) close to the ground provided with a module (3) which assists the manual lifting of the slide rod and its unbraked lowering. The module is in the form of a torsion spring, compressed air spring or hydraulic spring. The spring force corresponds to the weight value of the slide rod. The constructional width of the module is designed so that it does not engage in the structure clearance of the unit.
