PROCESS FOR PREPARING 2-(2-THENOYLTHIO) PROPIONYLGLYCINE SODIUM

PURPOSE: A process for preparing 2-(2-thenoylthio) propionylglycine sodium is provided, thereby easily and rapidly preparing high purity of 2-(2-thenoylthio) propionylglycine sodium in higher yield using a small amount of solvent. CONSTITUTION: The process for preparing 2-(2-thenoylthio) propionylglycine sodium represented by formula (I) comprises reacting thenothiola of formula (IV) with 0.99 to 2 mole equivalent of sodium 2-ethylhexanoate in solvent selected from acetone, acetonitrile, ethylacetate, chloroform, ethanol, toluene and a mixture thereof at 0 to 80 deg. C.
