<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material with its warpage suppressed, comprising a heat sink and an electric circuit section both bonded to a ceramic insulating layer. <P>SOLUTION: The composite material 10A comprises a metal heat sink 11, a ceramic insulating layer 12 bonded to the heat sink 11 with an insert layer 13 in between, and a conducting electric circuit section 14 bonded to the side of the ceramic insulating layer 12 opposite to the side bonded to the heat sink 11. The heat sink 11 comprises a first layer 11a on the side near the ceramic insulating layer 12 and a second layer 11b bonded to the first layer 11a, and the first layer 11a is made of a metal whose thermal expansion coefficient is higher than that of the second layer 11b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
