LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the total amount of used liquid crystal in a manufacturing process by forming a liquid crystal layer by an ink-jet method. SOLUTION: After jetting (or dropping) of a liquid crystal material 114 is performed on a pixel electrode 121 provided on a large surface area substrate 110, namely only on a pixel part by the ink-jet method, the substrate is stuck to a counter substrate.
