PURPOSE: A solar powered water pumping apparatus is provided to pump water by using properties of a phase-transition material. CONSTITUTION: A solar powered water pumping apparatus includes a solar heat collector(100). A liquid/steam separator tank(110) is provided to separate a steam component from a liquid component of an actuating material when the actuating material is introduced into the liquid/steam separator tank(110). A first valve is opened when internal pressure of the liquid/steam separator tank(110) reaches a predetermined value. A water tank(120) supplies water to an air tank(130) through a pipe(122). A connection pipe(132) is installed between the air tank(130) and a bottom tank(140) so as to exhaust pressurized air to the bottom tank(140). Water is temporarily stored in a water reservoir(150) before water is introduced into a water condensing tank. |
