PURPOSE: A knitted density adjusting device of a circular knitting machine for clothes is characterized by controlling length of a loop. Therefore, the knitted density adjusting device is capable of controlling knitted density easily. CONSTITUTION: A circular knitting machine comprises a main body; a yarn feeder; a knitting device comprised of an upper cylinder, a lower cylinder, an upper cam box and a lower cam box; a withdrawing device; and a driving device. A knitted density adjusting device comprises many elevating cams(51) which are installed on an upper and a lower cam boxes(23,24), being capable of elevating; a stepping motor(52) corresponding to each elevating cam(51); a rotary body(53) which is fixed and connected to an output shaft(52a) of the stepping motor(52), containing a male screw part with a protrusion(53a); an elevating member(54) which is elevated by rotation of the rotary body(53), containing a female screw part with a hole(54a) and joined to the protrusion(53a); a lever(55) which is link-connected to a free end part of the elevating member(54), pressurizing the rear of each elevating cam(51); an elastic member(57) which is installed at the rear of the elevating cam(51), giving elastic force to each elevating cam(51) in the opposite direction of a virtual pressure; a sensing member(58) which is fixed and joined to one side of the rotary body(53), containing a sensing protrusion(58a); and an upper/lower limit sensor(59) sensing angle of rotation of the sensing protrusion(58a), measuring and controlling upper/lower limit value of the elevating member(54).
