The damping element (10) is inserted into a bass drum, and is designed in the form of a pillow which has an upper side (15) and an underside (16). One or more materials (19) having sound-absorbing properties are arranged between upper side (15) and underside (16). A holder (18) for securing a microphone is placed on the upper side (15) of the damping element (10). This prevents microphone stands situated in front of the percussion instrument from being knocked over, and enables a good sound reception for a microphone. |
