PURPOSE: A wireless public phone system using a prepaid card is provided to calculate used charges according to a calling region and a calling time by a charging system downloaded from a wireless telephone, and to display the calculated charges on the wireless telephone, thereby being paid for the charges from a user. CONSTITUTION: A prepaid card server(10) settles telephone charges by selling a prepaid card and enabling a call according to the amount of prepaid money. A management server(20) notifies a user of changed matters on a charging system in accordance with a calling region and a calling time, and supplies the charging system. Telephone portions(40) enable a user to make a call by receiving a prepaid card authentication from the prepaid card server(10), download the charging system from the management server(20), and calculate used charges to output the calculated charges. A remote control device(50) inputs the calculated charges, and displays the inputted charges.
