PURPOSE: A flashlight for life salvage at sea is provided to report a position of a victim to a rescuer within a short period of time by using a flash. CONSTITUTION: A flashlight for life salvage at sea includes a discharge lamp, a metallic air cell, an electric circuit, and a package structure. The discharge lamp(10) is used for generating a flash. In the metallic air cell, seawater is used as electrolyte. The electric circuit is used for connecting electrically the discharge lamp to the metallic air cell. The discharge lamp and the metallic air cell are inserted into the inside of the package structure(40). The discharge lamp includes a capacitor circuit in order to generate the flash.
