The barrage consists of a series of round-section vertical plastic tubes (1) with a horizontal band (2) of plastic riveted to them at the top and a net (3) fastened in a similar manner below the surface of the water. The assembly is supported by floats (4) and kept vertical by chain weights (6) on the tubes' lower ends. The floats are made from foam stuck to an expanded plastic panel made rigid by a right-angled aluminum strip fastened along one edge. The floats are fastened to the tubes by metal angle brackets.
