METHOD FOR RECOVERING TANTALUM ANODE FROM WASTE TANTALUM CAPACITOR

PURPOSE: A method for recovering tantalum anode from waste tantalum capacitor is provided to reduce incineration of dry refining process and solve problems such as air pollution and metal recovery ratio deterioration by developing a technology for physically recovering the tantalum anode contained in the waste tantalum capacitor. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a liberation step of loading waste capacitor in a storage bin, constantly supplying the waste capacitor to a roll type crusher using a belt conveyor according to planed treatment quantity so that the waste capacitor is primarily crushed to liberate polymer material, metal components and tantalum anode, supplying the primarily crushed waste capacitor to a vibrator by the belt conveyor again to separate the primarily crushed waste capacitor is separated to a certain grain size, and supplying coarse grains of the crushed waste capacitor to the crusher again so that the crushed waste capacitor is crushed to a certain grain size or less; a metal component removing step of injecting the crushed material into a classifier using the belt conveyor, wherein a dry magnetic separator is installed in an upper part of a transportation belt for injecting the crushed material into the classifier so that the metal removed crushed material is supplied into an air classifier after metals are removed by the dry magnetic separator during transportation of the crushed material; and a polymer material removing step of separating polymer material and tantalum anode from the crushed material by air classification in which air volume of the classifier is controlled in the range of 39 to 30 m¬3/hr according to grain size of the crushed material supplied to the air classifier after finishing the metal component removing step.
