<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel that precludes a continuity failure. <P>SOLUTION: A connection tip portion 45a of a guidance electrode 45 of an upper substrate is shaped into a projected portion 45b, and a connection tip portion 7a of a connection electrode 7 of a lower substrate is shaped into a recessed portion 7b that fully accommodates the projected portion 45b. Over the region of the projected portion 35b which is inserted in the recessed portion 7b, a conductive coupler 46 is disposed to couple the connection electrode 7 and the projected portion 45b of the guidance electrode 45. The coupler 46 interconnects the connection electrode 7 and the guidance electrode 45 for continuity. A lead electrode 44 of the upper substrate and a connection electrode 4 of the lower substrate are connected for continuity in the same structure. The conductive coupler 46 couples the projected portion of the guidance electrode and the connection electrode with sufficient overlaps to preclude a continuity failure between the guidance electrode and the connection electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
