WHITE LED ELEMENT FOR DISPLAY BACKLIGHT USING SILICON NANO-PARTICLES

摘要

PURPOSE: A white LED element for a display backlight using silicon nano-particles is provided to realize white light by mixing green and red emitted from nano-particles, thereby improving a light emitting characteristic and improving stability in temperature and time. CONSTITUTION: A blue LED(Light Emitting Diode) chip(5) emits blue light. A transparent resin(6) is molded on the blue LED chip. The transparent resin includes silicon nano-particles excited by the light emitted from the blue LED chip for emitting green light, and of which a diameter is 1.5nm-1.8nm, and silicon nano-particles excited by the light emitted from the blue LED chip for emitting red light, and of which a diameter is 2.7nm-3.1nm.
