<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for processing charging which enable charging corresponding to the actual amount of use of service to be accurately and easily performed by preventing charging for ineffective use due to a radio failure, etc., in the Internet connection using a wireless LAN (local area network). <P>SOLUTION: In an access point 60, a charging frequency calculating part 61 monitors a data connection status performed between a terminal device 10 and a radio communicating part 68 to measure the frequency of an ACK (acknowledgment) frame. A terminal managing part 63 accumulates charging data for charging on the basis of the frequencies of the ACK frame and notifies a charging server device 30 of the accumulated charging data.
