PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a liquid tank, and to positively mount a tank holder by preventing damages of the tank holder or the like even when the liquid tank is misplaced to the tank holder, in an ink jet recorder. SOLUTION: A locking claw 36 and a latch claw 38 to be engaged with the tank holder 5 are provided on the front and rear of the liquid tank in the insertion direction to the tank holder 5. The liquid tank has a vessel 31 for storing ink therein. The vessel 31 is provided with a guide protrusion 43 only on one side of both side faces of the container 31 in parallel with its insertion direction. In mounting the container 31 on the tank holder 5, the guide protrusion 43 is guided along the guide rail 29 provided on the tank holder side. At that time, the other side of the container 31 in parallel with its insertion direction is restricted by the inner peripheral surface of the tank holder 5 side, allowing the vessel 31 to be rotated on the locking claw 36 side as a rotation support to be mounted on the tank holder 5.
