PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for manufacturing high-pressure gas for producing gas such as oxygen gas, hydrogen gas, carbon dioxide gas, nitrogen gas, helium gas, etc., at high pressure in which foreign matter of oil or dust is not mixed, and in which measures are taken against heat generation in compression of gas in simple methods. SOLUTION: In a multiple head air compressor 10A in which a first cylinder 20Z and a second cylinder 30A are connected to a crankshaft, one end of a boosting rod 131b to form a boosting piston rod 131 of a boosting cylinder 130 is positioned to a piston 31 in the second cylinder 30A, and a space part 30Az is formed between them. Effects of lubricating oil scattered under the piston 31 are thus prevented from being extended. In addition, to a boosting chamber 130z formed by the boosting cylinder 130, air compressor inner piping 18A comprising a check valve 72 to prevent backflow from the boosting chamber 130z and a check valve 73 to prevent backflow to the boosting chamber 130z is connected.
