EQUIPMENT OPERATION STATE MONITORING SYSTEM OF SHIP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a communication cost by fetching only required information in the main engine information of a ship by an instruction from a land side.

SOLUTION: In a system for monitoring the operation state of the main engine of the ship in a monitoring center terminal 32 on the land side by utilizing an electronic mail system using a satellite channel 16, the sensor name of a sensor 20 to be monitored among the sensors 20 monitoring the main engine 18 and a monitoring period are specified and request mail is sent from the monitoring center terminal 32 on the land side. A processing part 28 constituting a main engine monitoring server 24 on a ship side decodes the request mail, extracts the main engine information corresponding to the specification in a time sequential file recorded in a recording part 22, attaches the extracted main engine information to return mail to the monitoring center terminal 32 on the land side and sends it. Thus, the monitoring center terminal 32 on the land side fetches only the required information and the communication cost is reduced.
