PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which can more effectively remove bubbles adhering to the inside of ink channels. SOLUTION: In a circulation purge, in addition to the removal of bubbles in a circulation channel by circulating ink between an ink tank 21 and a manifold 11, communication of a second ink tube 25 is shut by an opening and closing valve 24 at a prior stage to the circulation purge or at a post stage when the circulation purge ends. An auxiliary purge of driving a circulation pump 22 for only a constant time is carried out in the state. The bubbles adhering to wall faces of the ink channels, pressure chambers of a printing head, and the like are pushed out together with the ink from nozzles. Such a situation that the bubbles at a wall face and a manifold of the first ink passage, pressure chambers of the printing head, and the like block the pressure chambers of the printing head 1, or absorb pressures by actuators is avoided, and a good printing state is maintained.
