摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device and its driving method, and electronic equipment that can improve picture quality by making it possible to avoid influence of coupling capacity, a leak of electric charges, a transverse electric field, etc., by polarity inverted driving in every 1/2 selection period. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display part comprises a Y driver 401 which supplies a gate signal to gate lines in sequence, data signal generating means (301, 500) of generating a data signal specifying a subfield wherein an ON voltage is applied and a subfield wherein an OFF voltage is applied according to display data while a field is divided into a plurality of subfields as control units on the time base, and an X driver means 500 which generates the ON voltage or OFF voltage according to the data signal, inverts the polarity of the generated ON voltage or OFF voltage in a selection period wherein pixels of one line in the gate line direction of the liquid crystal display part and also inverts the polarity of the generated ON voltage or OFF voltage in every period wherein pixels of all lines of the liquid crystal display part are driven, and then supplies the generated ON or OFF voltage as a source voltage to source lines.
