PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a rice-cake making machine which prevents a steaming unevenness of glutinous rice, etc. by mounting a steam guiding member on the glutinous rice, etc. when steaming the glutinous rice, etc. within a hopper and makes a delicious rice cake. SOLUTION: In a rice-cake making machine equipped with a hopper in which a material to be worked such as the glutinous rice is put, a rotatable blade for pounding steamed rice within the hopper, a motor which rotation drives the blade for pounding steamed rice, and a steam generator having a heat source, the steam guiding member is mounted on the material to be worked such as the glutinous rice at the time of a steaming process and a plurality of ribs forming a steam passage are placed in the back of the steam guiding member.
