PURPOSE: A method for releasing a PS call of a mobile communication system is provided to reduce load of a system and improve the performance by preventing collision between commands. CONSTITUTION: In the case of releasing a PS(Packet Switched) call, an MS(Mobile Station) transmits an LCP(Link Protocol) terminating request signal to a GGSN(Gateway GPRS Supporting Node)(ST200). The GGSN releases a PPP(Point to Point Protocol) link, and transmits an LCP terminating acknowledgement signal to the MS(ST210). The MS transmits a deactivate PDP context request signal to an SGSN(Serving GPRS Support Node)(ST220). The SGSN transmits a delete PDP context request signal to the GGSN(ST230). The GGSN removes or stops operation of PDP context, and transmits a delete PDP context response to the SGSN(ST240). The SGSN transmits a deactivate PDP context signal to the MS(ST250). The MS releases an operating radio access bearer, and a base station and the SGSN release set radio access bearer resources by using RAB(Radio Access Bearer) assignment procedure(ST260). If the set channel is released and the MS does not use a PS service, the GGSN terminates PS processing(ST270). |
