PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed type electric compressor capable of raising the degree of oil separation from the oil-mixed coolant gas because the compressor is so arranged that the degree of oil separation will be hardly affected by the coil end shape of a stator. SOLUTION: The sealed type electric compressor shall have the following design: On the end face for discharging oil-mixed coolant gas of a rotor 1, where a through hole 2 is formed, at least one stage of oil separation chamber 5, partitioned by oil separator 3, which maintains a fixed axis direction height from the discharging end face by means of a spacer 28, is installed; a gap is formed between the oil separator 3 and a rotor axis 7; and the oil separator 3 is equipped with the rotor 1 having more than one oil separator hole 4, designed to discharge oil-mixed coolant gas, which is located at a fixed distance from an internal diameter face of the internal wall of the spacer 28.
